Saim Ayub (L) and Imran Nazir. -PCB/Facebook/GeoSuperImran Nazir, along with Ahmed Shehzad and Imam-ul-Haq, was asked about the performance of Pakistan’s young opener Saim Ayub in Geo News show Haarna Mana Hai on Tuesday. The host of the show Tabish Hashmi asked Imran Nazir that whether Saim Ayub is eligible to play on an international level or not.

The hard-hitting opening batter responded that the team does not have that strength. The ones who were even given the chance to score haven’t scored that well.“First of all, we should have prepared a squad that possess bench strength because we do not have such players. When a particular player performs well at some point so the team should cash that point by including that player in the playing XI of the match. There are some players who have been given opportunity but didn’t perform well. I would like to ask that why the players are not motivated, they should be motivated to do well.“Talking about Saim Ayub, he’s a new player and expecting 40 or 50 runs would not be just with him that too in a World Cup which itself is so stressful and when the team is performing so bad. Anyways, that decision was not too bad. Good thing is that Pakistan has at least won one match of the tournament,” Imran Nazir responded.
